Research progress of the fermentation technology of genetic engineering bacteria of Bacillus subtilis

Bacillus subtilis is both a beneficial bacterium and a tool for expressing heterologous proteins,and many properties of the engineering bacteria produced by Bacillus subtilis are changed with its carried gene. The purpose of biological fermentation of engineering bacteria is to enlarge the amount of secreted protein of bacteria carrying exogenous gene and the yield of bacteria themselves. This paper mainly introduces the expression system of Bacillus subtilis,and analyzes the effects of fermentation condition control and feeding strategies on the production of genetic engineering bacteria,and also reviews the research status in the fermentation field of genetic engineering bacteria of Bacillus subtilis.
