Effects of mongolian compound Halun-1 decoction on the brain-intestine axis 5-HT of mice in cold stress

The aim of the present study was to identify the effects of mongolian medicine compound Halun-1 decoction on the antioxidant system and the monoamine neurotransmitters in the brain-intestine axis of cold stress mice. The mice were subjected to acute cold stress at 0 ℃ or-20 ℃ after intragastric administration of Halun-1 decoction for a week. Then blood samples of the mice were collected from anterior chamber after 1 h and used for ELISA detection. The results showed that after suffered acute cold stress for 1 hour,the concentration of 5-HT,NE,MDA and T-AOC in the high and middle dose groups of Halun-1 was significantly lower than that in the negative control group( P 0. 05).The concentrations of 5-HT,NE,MDA and T-AOC in brain-intestinal axis of mice at-20 ℃ were higher than those of 0 ℃,and the difference was significant( P0. 05). It can be seen that the cold stress can increase the concentration of 5-HT,NE,MDA and T-AOC in the mice brain-intestine axis,while the mongolian medicine compound Halun-1 decoction of high and middle dose can reduce it. So the ability of anticold stress in mice can be enhanced and the stress response of the body can be relieved by Halun-1 decoction treatment.
