Effect of sulfate on the microstructure of cementitious materials

The microstructure of cementitious materials(CCM) is studied.Results show that the microstructures of cementitious materials are improved by hydration and un-hydrated products in the presence of additive agent,and the voids reduced.Thus the density,impermeability and sulfate resistance may be improved slightly.At same time,the mechanism and model of sulfate attack in cementitious materials with additive agent are proposed by investigating microstructure with optical micrograph and SEM-EDS.
