Fiber Reinforced Plastics(FRP) applying in concrete structures

In order to avoid rust of reinforcements in concrete structures,the application research of fiber-reinforced plastics(FRP)is practiced widely,which is aimed to substitute for the ordinary reinforcements.FRP has the characteristics of excellent corrosion resistance,high tensile strength,good non-magnetization properties and low elastic modulus.At present time,there are many scientific studies of mechanics characteristics,process method and structure performance in the world,experimentation research and engineering applications got many outcomes,and some considerable successful experience have been applied in the concrete structures.Based on analysis of literature,the development of new research and application progress of FRP reinforced concrete members is described.
