The Diagnosis Value of Hoffmann’s Sign in Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy

Objective:To explore the diagnosis value of Hoffmann’s sign in cervical spondylotic myelopathy(CSM).Methods:Hoffmann’s sign,tendon reflex and image were observed in 82 cases of (CSM) patient,12 cases of them examined by improved Hoffmann’s sign.Results:Hoffmann’s sign could appear alone and had no correlation with the pressed section above cervical enlargement or below cervical enlargement.The improved Hoffmann’s sign in these 12 patients were all negative.Conclusions:Hoffmann’s sign showed complicated in CSM and it could appear alone in the earlier period,but its meaning and value in early diagnosis should be further studied.
