XU Yi-ying,SUN Wen-xue,PENG Wu-jian,et al. (Department of Nephropathy, The People's Hospital of Shenzhen City, Shenzhen 518020,China)
Objective To evaluate active platelet status in elderly diabetic nephropathy and its clinical significance by detection of activated platelet membrane glycoprotein. Methods In 35 elderly patients with diabetic nephropathy and 24 normal controls, the expression level of peripheral platelet membrane glycoprotein CD 62P, CD 63, CD 41 and CD 61 were measured by flow cytometry. Results The expression levels of CD 62P and CD 63 on platelet in group of elderly patients were no significant difference as compared to normal control (P0.05). Conclusion The platelet activity increases in elderly patient with diabetic nephropathy. Detection of activated platelet membrane glycoprotein in them had an important clinical value.
