The Extension of Mean Convergence and Its Necessary and Sufficient Conditions

Wen Lizhi
In this paper, We extetend the concept of the mean convergence in Lp spaces so that it can include the concepts of the mean convergence in Orlicz spaces and spaces of φ—integrable functions and give sevral necessary and sufficient conditions of the mean convergence. These conditions are also the necessary and sufficient conditions of the strongly modular convergence and tne normed convergence. In particuler, these are the necessary and sufficient conditions of the mean convergence and the normed convergence in Lp spaces and Orlicz speces. Theorem 3 and theorem 4 are the extensions of the famous Vitali theorom and Lebesgue theorem.
