Molecularly imprinted membrane of poly(acrylonitrile-co-acrylic acid) for the selective adsorption of ursolic acid was prepared by phase inversion technique. After the template was removed from the solidified membrane, binding experiments were done to evaluate the membrane. It was observed that the amounts of ursolic acid bound to imprinted and non-imprinted membranes were 0.226 and 0.087 μmol/g,respectively.The results of permeation experiments have shown that the imprinted membranes have good recognition performances for ursolic acid, and the non-molecularly imprinted membranes have no recognition properties.
