Electroanalytical Characteristics of Chlorprothixene in the Presence of Surfactant

In a pH7.00 buffer solution containing 0.0020% OP, chlorprothixene yields a sensitivepolarographic wave at-95 V, which can be used to determine the trace amounts of the drug, the de-tection limit being 5.4×10￣(-9)mol/L. Using potentiostatic coulometry, chronocoulometry and cyclicvoltammetry, the electron number of electrochemical reaction, the surface concentration and the diffu-sion coefficient were found to be 2, 1.17×10￣(-10)mol/cm￣2 and 4.3×10￣(-5)cm￣2/s, respectively.
