Experimental Study on Heating Technique in Energy Saving of Asphalt Storage Tanks with Mixing Equipment

The heating technology in energy-saving of asphalt storage tank with mixing equipment was describedand applied to certain asphalt mixing plant. The principle and process of dynamic heating were analyzed in detail. Adynamic heating model was established by comparing the structures of two kinds of asphalt tanks,the heating timeand node of the asphalt tanks were determined. The results show that under the condition that the continuousproduction of asphalt mixture is ensured,the heating time node for adjacent asphalt tank is when asphalt remainingamount in the tank is 34.5%. The technology can effectively reduce the heating fuel consumption with 19.23% lesscomparing to traditional practice. This study could provide some reference for increasing the speed of asphalt'stemperature homogenization,as well as reducing energy consumption and improving the heating quality of asphalt.
