AN EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF CYCLING CHARACTERISTICS FOR HEAT PUMP WITH NONAZEOTROPIC REFRIGERANT MIXTURES AS WORKING FLUID

In this paper,the characteristics of heat pump with nonazeotro- pic refrigerant mixtures(NARMs)as working fluid have been studied.The effects of temperature,pressure and filling concentra- tion on the coefficient of performance(COP),the characteristic of continuous capacity control with low losses and the operating range of thermal load have been discussed.According to the exper- imental results,it is demostrated that NARMs provide considerable advantages for heat pump application in energy saving.The COP would be increased with the increase of mole concentration for the component with lower boiling-point.However,because of the rest- rictions of operating conditions and equipment,the optimum operat- ing pressure and filling concentration should be determined in heat pump design.The trinary NARMs are not so good as compared with the binary NARMs for heat pump uses.
