Form-Finding and Loading Analysis of Spatial Membrane Structures and Development of Analyzing Program

The membrane structure is first discreted into the cable-net structure according to the method of stress equivalence. Next, for a cable-net stru cture, nodal equilibrium equations of free nodes are directly established, accor ding to which formulas for the form-finding and loading analysis of the membran e structure are individually derived. Then, the isostress surface assumption and wrinkle problem of the membrane structure are discussed. A program for the form -finding and loading analysis of the membrane structure are finally developed. Some examples verify the feasibility of the proposed methods.
