THE APPLICATION OF PIEZOELECTRIC TRANSDUCER IN MEASURING LOW OPTICAL ABSORPTION COEFFICIENTS

In this paper, a method is introduced by which the absorption coefficients of window materials for infrared lasers can be measured by means of photoacoustic technique and circular piezoelectic transducer. Moreover, the absorption coefficients of several window materials for infrared lasers are detected experimentally. It is showed experimentally that this method is simpler, faster and more convenient in comparison with laser colorinetry.
