AN ANALYTIC SOLUTION OF NON CLASSICAL BENDING OF SYMMETRIC COMPOSITE LAMINATED PLATES

Bending of symmetric composite laminated plates supported simply at two opposite edges and arbitrarily at the others is studied in this paper by using the laminated plate theory, in which transeverse shear deformation is taken into account, presented before by the author. An analytic solution of the problem is obtained, and the factors which have effects on it are studied. The numerical examples show that the numerical results obtained by finite element methods given in the other papers are very close to those obtained by using the analytic solution given in this paper.
