Inhibiting Effect of Chitosan on the Pathogen of the Leaf Disease of Brazilwood

The pathogen of the leaf disease of Brazilwood was isolated and preliminary identified to be Ascomycotina,Pyrenomycetes,Erysiphales,Erysiphaceae and Sphaerotheca.The inhibiting effect of chitosan on the pathogen of Brazilwood was studied under different conditions including concentration of chitosan and pH value.The results indicated that chitosan had inhibiting effect on the pathogen.With the concentration increasing,the effect increased.The best effect was at pH6.0.It is concluded that chitosan has inhibiting effect on the pathogen of Brazilwood and may be used for prevention and treatment of Bra-zilwood disease in the field.
