Molecule Detection of Rehmannia Mosaic Virus

Virus samples infected Rehmannia glutinosa in different regions were detected by using RT-PCR with the degenerate primers designed to detect Rehmannia mosaic virus(ReMV),Tobacco mosaic virus(TMV) and Tomato mosaic virus(ToMV)simultaneously.Coat protein(CP) genes of 25 virus samples were cloned and sequenced.The results indicate that the 24 virus samples were ReMV,TMV was not detected,the ToMV is detected only in one wild Rehmannia glutinosa sample.According to the above experiment,ReMV is the major virus in cultural and wild Rehmannia glutinosa in China.
