Genetic Analysis and Mapping of A Blast Resistance Gene in Super Rice(Oryza sativa L.) Variety Shennong 606

A rice cross was made using a super rice cultivar Shennong 606 as blast resistance parent and a susceptible cultivar Lijiangxintuanheigu,and its segregating F2 population besides two parents was used to identify the blast resistance with the race ZA1 of Magnaporthe grisea(hebert)barr during the seedling stage.The result showed that the blast resistance of Shennong 606 was controlled by a single dominant gene.Based on the resistance test,one SSR marker(RM574) was selected to locate the resistant locus using Bulked segregant analysis(BSA).By amplifying 311 susceptible individuals in F2 population,the resistance gene of Shennong 606 was mapped on chromosome 5,and the genetic distance between RM574 and the resistance gene was 8.7 cM.
