In this study, the effects of Clostridium butyricum on the performance of breed ducks were investigated.10-month-old breeding Muscovy ducks(n=840) were randomly divided into two treatment groups.Ducks fed with basal diet were used for the control group and those fed with basal diet supplemented with 0.2% probiotics were experimental group. The experiments were continued for 34 days. The average laying rate of ducks in experimental group was 85.85%,significantly higher than that of the control group(P0.05).Compared to control group, the fertilization rate of experimental group was 100%,extremely significantly higher(P0.01).As for other egg qualities,no differences were observed between these two treatment groups(P0.05).The results suggest that Clostridium butyricum can effectively increase the laying and fertilization rates of breed ducks.
