Overtraining is defined as a fatigue syndrome which means that the normal level of performance can not recover after intensive training,Overtraining mainly occurs in endurance events and its occurrence is related to the disturber of neuroendocrine system and immune system.Heart rate,serum creatine kinase,testosterone,cortisol,blood urea,glutamine etc serve as markers for the diagnosis of overtraining.Recent study indicates that heat shock protein,a protective protein,could also be used as the marker of overtraining.Study shows that psychological fatigue is the main syndrome of overtraining,and have better combine psychological and physiological markers.Supplementation of antioxidant and glutamine/gtutamate has a good effect on the elimination of overtraining.
