The Characteristics of Mangrove Sediments Organic Carbon Distribution in Xinying Harbor Mangrove Wetland on Hainan Island and its Influencing Factor

This paper analyzes the contents and distribution characteristics of mangrove sediments organic carbon of forest,forest edge and mudflat in Xinying harbor,Hainan Island and its influencing factor. The results show that the mangrove wetland sediments organic carbon is between 1. 11 ~ 74. 39 g/kg,and the average value is 13. 36 g/kg. It is imbalanced in the spatial distribution. In the horizontal direction,the mudflat,forest edge and forest sediments organic carbon content is from high to low in turn as follows: forest(27. 75 ± 6. 65 g/kg) forest edge(8. 62 ± 1. 86 g/kg) mudflat(8. 26 ± 1.03 g/kg),which means that the accumulation of organic carbon from the mudflat to the forest is increasing. In the vertical direction,the maximum value is 11. 33 g/kg in the B layer of mudflat,the maximum value is 11. 61 g/kg in the A layer of forest edge,and the maximum value is 31. 19 g/kg in the A layer of forest. The results show that sediment organic carbon content has a significant positive correlation with clay content,silt content and pH value. The results also show a significant negative correlation with the sand content. but the mechanism of influence between them needs to be further studied. This paper provides some theoretical basis for further understanding of the organic carbon cycle of the mangrove wetland in Hainan Island.
