Clinical analysis and follow up of 41 cases with anaphylactoid purpura nephritis in childhood

This paper deals with the clinical analysis and follow-up of 41 cases ofSchonlein Henoch nephritis, 55.4% of Schonlein Henoch syndrome wereaccompanied with nephritis. All of them had typical symptoms of ScholeinHenoch syndrome,and most of the 41 cases occured in older children (39/41cases over seven years old). Hematuria appeared in 32 cases (75.6%)within 30 days after the appearance of purpura eruption. In this group, 11cases had hypertension oliguria and edema. Only one case was accompeniedwith hypertensive encephalopathy and uremia. 30 cases with this disease were followed up. Out of this 30 cases 24caees (80%) were cured, 3 cases had nephrosis, 2 cases persistant glomerulonephritis and one died of uremia. One of these patients was one yearold, who recovered completely after his 5-year illness. Therefore continuousobservation with proper theatment of such patients is quite necessary.
