Immune function and biological membrane index were investigated in 120 road maintenance workers. The cadres in the section were taken as the control group. The results showed:①The percentage of active E-rosette(Ea)of T lymphocyte in the peripheral blood and the contents of acid α-naphthyl esterase(ANAE)were higher than that of the control group(P0.01~0.05);②There was no great difference between the IgA and the IgG in the two groups;③The contents of sialic acid(SA)were higher in the workers than those of the control one(P0.05) but there was no difference between the contents of lipid peroxide(LPO)in the two groups. The results showed that the environment hazard,to which the workers were exposed, for example, the dust, the exhaust fumes of vehicles, etc, may induce the change of cellular immunity and the biological membrane.
