LI Xi-xiong;HU Guan-ying;MIAO Wei-na;Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine;
Objective: To investigate the anti- inflammatory and analgesic effects of Danshu capsules. Methods:The anti- inflammatory and analgesic effects of Danshu capsules were investigated by dimethylbenzene- induced ear edema test in mice,carrageenin- induced foot edema test in rats,and acetic acid- induced writhing test in mice. Results: The low- dose Danshu capsules significantly reduced dimethylbenzene- induced ear edema in mice. The high- and medium- dose Danshu capsules significantly reduced carrageenin- induced foot edema in rats. The medium- and low- dose Danshu capsules significantly reduced the time of acetic acid- induced writhing reaction in mice. Conclusion: Danshu capsules have significant anti- inflammatory and analgesic effects; its analgesic effect becomes better with a reduced dose,while its anti- inflammatory effect has opposite results.
