Clinical effect of Shuanghuanghua tablets in treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infection with wind-heat and qi-deficiency syndrome: an analysis of 36 cases

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of Shuanghuanghua tablets in the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infection with wind-heat and qi-deficiency syndrome. Methods: A total of 72 patients with acute upper respiratory tract infection with wind-heat and qi-deficiency syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group and control group in a randomized double-blind way,with 36 patients in each group. The patients in the treatment group were given Shuanghuanghua tablets,and those in the control group were given Ganmaoqing tablets. Results: There was a significant difference in overall response rate between the treatment group and the control group(94. 4% vs 72. 2%,P 0. 01). Both groups had a significant change in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score after treatment,and there was a significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P 0. 05). There was a significant difference in the time to symptom disappearance between the two groups(P 0. 01). Conclusion: Shuanghuanghua tablets have a good clinical effect in the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infection with wind-heat and qi-deficiency syndrome.
