A Brief Analysis of Freire's Pedagogy of the Oppressed

FAN Bing (College of Education, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310028, China)  
Pedagogy of the Oppressed,\% which has a profound impact on many developing and even developed countries, was Brazilian educationist Freire's fruit of six years' experience and practice. His liberatory education was to enable the oppressed to develop critical consciousness. Therefore, the progressive educators should start with the resolution of teacher\|student contradiction and help students realize conscientization by means of problem\|posing education, dialogue\|action theory, etc.
