Analysis on the Seepage Field of DachaoshanUnderground Hydropower Station

In this paper the authors have analysed the seepage field in detail by means of combination procedureof the fixed mesh finite element method of nodal virtual seepage flux and improved drainage substructure technique. In this process, the seepage behaviour of all openings of the power house, surge tank, six headrace penstocks tunnels, tailrace tunnels, and fifteen drainage galleries arranged longitudinally and transversally in threelayers at different elevations are numerically simulated. Finally, on the basis of the present seepage control design scheme the behaviour of the seepage field are analysed in detail through calculations of a few possible operation conditions.
