Application of Vibro-replacement Stone Pile in Dam Foundation Reinforcement for Chahe Reservoir

The upstream dam foundation,which is made of muddy clay,of Chahe reservoir is required to be reinforced due to its low tangential strength, low bearing capacity and poor slope stability. The dam body is made of low liquid limit silty soil. Therefore,the vibro-replacement stone pile is selected for the reinforcement project due to its rapid construction speed and low cost. The paper makes an introduction to the application of vibro-replacement stone pile in dam foundation reinforcement for Chahe reservoir.
