Surrounding Rock Stability Study on Underground Cavern Group of Diversion Power System——Taking Gongguoqiao power station as the example

The underground power house of Gongguoqiao hydropower station is located on the right bank,with high abutment walls and large span in the underground cavern group,and the geological conditions are complex there. The engineering geological conditions of the underground cavern group were analyzed to determine the category of surrounding rock,to forecast the stress variation after underground cavern excavation,to evaluate the stability of surrounding rock in the underground cavern group,to provide the accordance for selecting the location of cavern group and for designing the support type. The support for construction excavation was provided based on the analysis of the rock block stability to find the certainty rock blocks.
