“A Flower Blooms in Late Spring”——Li Yin

Late Ming and early Qing dynasties were characterized by intensified social contradictions, chaos caused by war and homeless people. Men suffered a lot from the warfare and women did more. After her husband Ge Zhengqi died for his motherland, Li Yin, a talented woman, drifted from place to place, enduring many hardships. In order to protect collection of her poems from damage by war, she lived in widowhood more than 40 years. Li Yin had the consciousness of leaving behind a good reputation which traditional women seldom have. The purpose of study is to prevent the talented woman and her poems from falling into oblivion.
