The Progress in Infrared Computerized Axial Tomography Technique

Infrared computerized axial tomography is a high technology for the application of IR testing in measuring temperature distribution in the inner- wall of a heating equipment. The temperature changes in the inner part of the heating equipment must be appeared onto the outter surface because of heat conduction. The surface temperature distribution can be abtained by thermal imager. With the known value of the surface temperature, to make a solution of system geometries is an inverse heat conduction problem. This paper describes in detail a general method for the solution of inverse heat conduction problems by computer and presents briefly a way to obtain better calculation accuracy.
