A Study on Structural Defects and Infrared Transmissivity for Natural Salt Crystals from Qinghai Lake

In this paper, a study on structural defects and infrared transmissivity of natural lake salt from Qinghai lake is report. the comparison between the results of the lake salt and that of synthetic salt has been made. It was shown that there was a definite differ ence of the dislocation distribution in these two kinds of salt crystals. On the other hand, the IR transmissivity for both salt crystals are nearly the same at 2.5μm to 15μm waveband. It shows that IR transmissivity is not sensitive to dislocation distribution.
