A Method and Hardware Realization of Detecting Point Target in Strong Background

In In accordance with the background of tracking space target with a telescope under daylight,the characteristics of space target is analyzed,an algorithm of detecting point targets named double scale filtering(DSF) based on strong background is proposed.By this algorithm,the shutter can be eliminated effectively and the point space target can be picked out through filtering the single frame images from CCD Camera with different scales.The algorithm utilized the parallel method of data processing to reduce the processing time effectively and to carry out hardware design.The results show that this algorithm can detect the space target with the SNR of 2 approximately and has a good real-time ability.
