Infrared Detection of Ship Wake Based on Sea Surface Roughness

Based on the phenomenon of different roughness between wake and surrounding sea surface,the infrared radiation difference between wake and surrounding sea surface is calculated under various detection angles and wind velocities by establishing sea surface radiation model.Various detection results and factors are analyzed under different weather and temperature conditions.The results show that the wake can be detected without temperature difference between wake and surrounding sea surface,and the apparent temperature difference will reach 5℃ between them under low air temperature.In case of existence of temperature difference and high air temperature,the wake will become dark and then bright on the detected image with increasing zenith angle.
