Principles of Infrared Systems' NEDT and Theoretical Calculations

The principles of the noise equivalent temperature difference(NEDT) for infrared systems were investigated.Theoretical calculations of the NEDT for a sample infrared system were carried out based on target radiance characteristics,detector properties and bandwidth of the system.Further discussions and analyses on these results were made to provide the physics and the guidance for those who are,will be engaged in the design and optimization of infrared systems.
