The World-literary Character of the New Chinese-language Literature

Wang Haijun;
The world-literary character of the new Chinese-language literature is an operating mechanism formed of the interaction between the nature of Chinese-language poetry and human nature, in which human nature, by way of its secret channel, provides a platform of mutual communications for the commonwealth of languages as human nature is part of the world-literary character because of its universal adaptability in academic culture. The new Chinese-language literature has to complete its self-expression via literary images, which contain unique human experience on the inside and are coated, on the outside, with highly recognizable local colour and exotic features, and, at the same time, the rhythms formed of the Chinese language in expressing literary images are the poetic features of the language, often represented in literary classis, with the result that the world-literary character of the new Chinese-language literature is not only an assessment of its values but also a method of literary criticism.
