D. H. Lawrence and His Feminist View:A Review of Lady Chatterley's Lover

Lady Chatterley’s Lover,one of the most significant novels in English literature,has remained controversial,not only inthe times of its production,but also till now.Readers appear to split up in different sides.The author,the intrepid sex-scene depict-er,D.H.Lawrence,has been under discussion by feminists about his own understanding of feminism.In this essay,details of thenovel have been examined,in order to both defend his viewpoint and contribution to feminism,and point out some defects and im-perfection in his knowledge of feminism.The first chapter deals with Lady Chatterley’s self-salvation through outrageous sex relationship,revealing female’s identity crisisand identity found in this novel;chapter two associates feminism with ecology,which is a methodology frequently applied by Law-rence;the last chapter discusses popular feminist view arguing against Lawrence,and discloses the limitation in his feminism.
