A Class-AB Self-biased and Linear Cascode Power Amplifier with Predistortion

A class-AB self-baised and linear power amplifier was designed with predistortion technology by using SMIC 0.18mm CMOS technology.Two stages cascode configuration was adopted in this power amplifier circuit.The self-baised technology was used at the first stage to provide the bias voltage for the common-gate MOS,and the predistortion linearization technology was utilized at the second-stage circuit to restrain nonlinear distortions.The ADS of Agilent is used to simulate the power amplifier,which is featured of a large signal gain of 23dB,a 1dB compression output power of 22.5dBm and a power-added efficiency(PAE) of 25.1%.
