Preliminary Screening of High-effect Complex Formulations of Amitraz and Clothianidin to Control Diaphorina citri Kuwayama

With the increasing resistance of Diaphorina citri Kuwayama to conventional insecticides,complex formulations of amitraz and clothianidin were screened to slow down the development of the resistance and take better use of existing pesticide resources. In pot experiments, different quick and lasting-effect formulation against adults was tested. The control efficacy of the formulation was tested by field experiments.Among 6 formulations, 3 of them had quick-effect. The ratio of 20% amitraz EC and 48% clothianidin SC were134.00 vs 80.40 mg/kg, 134.00 vs 60.00 mg/kg and 100.00 vs 60.00 mg/kg. The corrected mortality rate of 3rd day after treatment were 100.00%, 96.51% and 96.37%, respectively. In field trials, the control effects of 134.00 vs80.40 and 134.00 vs 60.00 on 3rd day were 100%, and they were 96.91% and 96.45% on 10 th day. The results of this study provided a new strategy for chemical control over D. citri Kuwayama.
