ROLE AND POSITION OF DATABASE IN OFFSHORE MAPPING OF THE NETHERLANDS

The Netherlands pays great attention to the construction of database and application of information methods in the offshore mapping. The database of the country can be grouped under three different levels: Project level (archive management system), Ministry level (IMKMG) and Enterprise level (DINO). The application of the database technology guarantes reuse and sustainability of offshore mapping results, and provides an important basis for the smooth proceeding of the mapping work.
