The genomic CNV profiles in two human lung adenocarcinoma cell lines with same parental origin but different metastasis potentials

Objective To scan the genomes of Anip973 and AGZY83-a two cell lines in order to identify the genes underlying the initiation,progression,and metastasis.Methods The complete copy number variant(CNV) profiles of the two cell lines were reported through evaluation using genome-wide high resolution microarray-based genomic hybridization(aCGH) technique.Results When the genomic DNAs from these two cells were dye-swapped hybridized,there was no detectable gain or loss of any genetic materials.However,when the DNAs of the cell lines were co-hybridized with a healthy reference DNA respectively,they were found to have identical genomic profiles of copy number variants(CNVs) consisting of 39 gains and 60 losses.Nine homozygously deleted regions were found and 5 of them encompass important tumor-related genes.Conclusion These homozygously deleted genes might involve in the tumorigenesis in the cell lines.
