STRATEGY OF OIL AND GAS RESOURCES EXPLORATIONS IN CHINA SEAS

There exist thirtyeight MesozoicCenozoic sedimentary basins in China sea areas,which have rich oil and gas resources.However,because exploration degree is generally low,exploration horizons are limited and main emphasis is put on the Cenozoic(especially Paleogene)basins.According to the analyses of oilbearing features,oil geological conditions and resources potential,our regional correlation integrated with new discoveries in recent years show that there still exist many new domains,new areas,new types and new horizons to await to be studied and exploited.For example,MesozoicPaleozoic,Paleocene,Neogene,deepwater sediments of slope and organic reef in China sea basins,have good oil and gas potential.In addition,gas hydrate and coal gas coule be the important direction of marine oil and gas exploration as well.
