Calculating the Capacitance and Inductance Matrices of Multilayered Multiconductor Transmission Lines by Using Method of Lines Combined with Finite-Difference Method

In this paper, the Method of Lines (MoL) combined with the Finite-Difference Method (FDM) is used to calculate the capacitance and inductance matrices of the multilayered multiconductor transmission lines for the first time. The subregion with pure dielectric layers is analyzed by MoL and the subregion with conductors is analyzed by FDM. Numerical results show that the algorithm in this paper is efficient, and the computing time is unrelated to the thickness of the pure dielectric layers.
