Bulk of α″-Fe_(16)N_2 Synthesized by HTHP

Using mixed powder of Fe,Fe3N,which was mixed in accordance with the proportion of Fe16N2, the amorphous bulk material of nominal composition of Fe16N2was synthesized by high temperature and high pressure method( HTHP). By vacuum annealing at different low temperature,the block material of α″-Fe16N2 was prepared. The results show that,the best crystallization temperature for synthesis of α″-Fe16N2is 190 ℃. The obtained sample is soft magnetic material,with coercivity of 50 A / m and specific saturation magnetization of 205 A·m2/ kg at room temperature. The saturation magnetization is bigger than that of pure iron at room temperature,which is about 200 A·m2/ kg.
