Clinical analysis of minimally invasive decompression,reduction and internal fixation for lumbar spondylolisthesis

Objective To explore the efficacy and clinical value of minimally invasive decompression,reduction and internal fixation for lumbar spondylolisthesis.Methods The clinical data of patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis admitted to our hospital during Nov.2009 to Nov.2011 were retrospectively analyzed.All patients were divided into three groups: group A,32 cases receiving pedicle screw fixation reset with lamina interbody fusion;group B,21 cases undergoing minimally invasive decompression,pedicle screw fixation reset with intertransverse bone fusion;group C,15 cases subject to minimally invasive decompression,interbody fusion,pedicle screw fixation reset,and intertransverse bone fusion.The efficacy of three groups was assessed by using the JOA score.Results There were no significant difference in the incision length,blood loss,postoperative drainage volume,load time and healing time among the three groups(P0.05).After a follow-up period of 3-5 years(mean 3.5 years),the postoperative intervertebral height and slip angle in the three groups were significantly improved as compared with preoperation,but there was no obvious difference between groups(P0.05).There was significant difference in the fusion rate of bone graft among the three groups(P0.05).The JOA score system revealed thatthe excellent and effective rate after operation in group C was the highest(93.3%),followed by group B(81.0%),and goup C(62.5%)(P0.05).Conclusion Under the premise of the mastery of operation indications,the reasonable use of minimally invasive decompression,reduction and internal fixation for treatment of lumbar spondylolisthesis can obtain satisfactory effects.
