Studies on the characteristics of fire plume temperature in Tibet

Pool fire experiments with three different pool sizes were conducted in Lhasa.Under the atmospheric pressure and oxygen concentration in Lhasa,which are only 64% of those in plain area,the plume centerline temperatures at different position were measured.The heat release rates of different pools were calculated.The characteristics of plume centerline temperature under lower pressure and oxygen concentration were analyzed.The measurement was compared with the calculation of Heskastad's plume model.It showed that the traditional plume model was not suitable in plateau area.
