Comparative Analysis of Curriculum Offering and Discipline Establishment between China and America

Aiming at the existing problems in subject arrangement and course system of industrial design specialty in China,this paper makes a comparison in the current status of industrial design specialty system between China and USA form the industrial design specialty system structure,the specialty courses,and the teaching time distribution etc.It can be found from this comparison that a rational specialty system structure has to be built to cultivate the industrial designers with innovative design idea and creative design ability.
