Research of curved surface five-axis and polishing processing model

Aiming at complex surface machining with high dimensional accuracy and high surface quality requirements,based on the five-axis ultra-precision complex surface polishing equipment and Preston theory,the removal function model of complex surface machining was derived according to the relative velocity of the workpiece and polishing tool head in the work process. The feed model was deduced according to the requirements of the removal of every point on the complex surface. Complex surface processing residuals were derived based on the positional relationship of adjacent point. And according to the residual,the resonability of polishing CNC machining step selection process was verified. The model was validated through experiments. The results indicate that the surface roughness of the surface roughness Ra 0. 04 is obtained by using the model which established by polishing experimental. The accuracy and feasibility of the model are illustrated,which provide a strong theoretical basis for the realization of complex surfaces polishing efficiently.
