Research on radar cross section measurement method of low-scattering objects in microwave anechoic chamber

To improve the radar cross section(RCS) measurement precision of low scattering objects in anechoic chamber,methods such as microwave absorption wall,wide band frequency RCS measurement in time domain,matched filtering and sinc window were applied to measure RCS of three objects.The wide band frequency RCS and high precision RCS varying with frequency were obtained.Setting microwave absorption wall improves the signal clutter ratio by 20 dB,and the wide band frequency RCS measurement result coincides with the theoretical data.It shows that the wide band frequency RCS measurement in time domain restrains the drawback of fluctuation,that the setting microwave absorption wall and the matched filtering obviously suppress the clutter of the turntable and foam base,and that the flat bandpass of sinc window can minimize the effect of data-cutoff.These methods effectively improve the RCS measurement precision.
