Stability characteristics of box-type floating barge based on the stability at large angle

To study the stability characteristics of floating barge operation process and the effects of the loading and deviation of the rotation point,based on hydrostatic stability at large angle,statics method was used,a box-type floating barge was taken as an example,mathematical tools MATLAB language self programming were employed to simulate and calculate,the changes of the static limiting angle and the dynamic limiting angle,the maximum restoring arm and the maximum capsizing arm were analyzed,and the results of static stability curves and dynamic stability curves and corresponding stability parameter of the floating barge in different deviation and loading were obtained.The results show that stability of floating barge in balles is better than in full load,and that the deviation has great influence on the stability at large angle.With the decrease of the deviation,both the maximum restoring arm and the maximum capsizing arm that the floating barge can withstand decrease.
