Experience of Fighting Ebola Epidemic of Sierra Leone Medical Assistance Team

Objective This study was to sum up the experience and problems encountered during the second chinese medical team fight against Ebola in Sierra Leone,and to provide reference for future. Methods Retrospective analysis was carried out for reviewing the medical team's training,dispatch,execution of tasks and so on.Results 65 staffs were trained in advance for 23 days,and 41 were chosen and sent to Sierra Leone,including 8in advance team. 372 patients were treated,including 130 confirmed Ebola virus infected patients( 14 cases cured) during the working period of 66 days. Conclusion Scientific and reasonable staff composition,comprehensive and strict training,full preparation for materials and adjust measures to local conditions were basic elements for task fulfillment.
